From Italy to Switzerland and back again
Petracca is a family owned Swiss company with Italian roots. From their base in Bienne they import and distribute 600 different fruit and vegetable products, since 1967. "It was my grandfather, Luigi Petracca, who started this activity by importing fruit and vegetable products from Salento. These were sold in our greengrocer's to the many Italian emigrants," says Valerio Petracca.
“My father, Mario Petracca, focused on the wholesale part of the business and so the shop was sold. We started importing produce from France, Spain, Netherlands and Hungary. In the 90’s we started working with the vegetable market in Milan. In 2010 we started our own Italian branch in Milan's Ortomercato."
Jungheinrich trucks weigh everything
“The weighing trucks at the Via Cesare Lombroso have a very all-round purpose for us: we can weigh just about anything and anywhere”. The trucks may be used for composing individual customer orders by weight, but also serve for checking incoming deliveries or determining the shipping weight of full pallets. For Petracca the RAVAS scales represent a real added value to the Jungheinrich EJE trucks.
