Technical Buyer

About the position
Your tasks
As Technical Buyer, you play a key role in optimizing our procurement processes and supplier performance within an international production environment. You develop and execute the tactical procurement policy, continuously looking for cost savings, better delivery reliability and higher quality. You work closely with internal teams as well as external suppliers on sustainable relationships and efficient processes.
You perform this through the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Select, evaluate and develop suppliers based on price, quality and performance.
- Proactively monitor compliance requirements towards suppliers, paying attention to changes in laws and regulations and customer-specific requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels, optimize ordering parameters in collaboration with Material Planners and ensure efficient coordination between purchasing, production planning and logistics.
- Analyze suppliers and markets to achieve cost savings, develop and implement risk assessments, closely monitor market developments and contribute to cost control, budgeting and forecasting without compromising quality or delivery reliability.
- Participation in the process of introducing new products and also organizing the necessary sourcing for them from A to Z, working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Function as a central link between suppliers and internal departments, ensuring clear communication, timely information and proactive resolution of bottlenecks with a focus on continuity, cost control and performance monitoring.

About you
What will you bring?
- Completed college education in relevant field, such as Supply Chain Management, Technical Business Administration or Purchasing.
- NEVI 1, NEVI 2, CIPS (or similar) certification or willingness to obtain such certification.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a tactical and/or strategic procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience with supplier management, contract management, cost optimization, data analysis using Microsoft Office (Excel) and ERP systems (preferably Exact Globe).
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages; command of German is an advantage.
- Technical affinity and able to understand and discuss technical specifications with suppliers.
- Analytically strong, results-oriented, negotiation skills and able to
- operate in a dynamic, international context.
(Foreign) travel to suppliers as a function of necessity.
