Initial verifications and recalibrations

Calibration

Calibration of a scale is a verification of the weighing accuracy by means of controlled test weights. Mobile weighing systems with an OIML validation require recalibration every 2 years. This can only be done by a representative of a certified metrological institute. RAVAS has been certified to do initial verifications and recalibrations of OIML scales, in accordance with Council Directives 90/384/EEC and 93/86/EEC, concerning non-automatic weighing systems, and module D of Council Decision 93/465/EEC.
