Friday 27 March, 1 PM EST | RAVAS USA and LTS Scale have been deemed an 'Essential Business'. This means that we are here to support all our customers during these trying times. Office personnel will remain working from home as much as they possibly can. Production continues by a skeleton crew and within the safety measures announced earlier.
Wednesday 25 March 2020, 8 AM EST | RAVAS USA has received requests/expedites for product and repairs from customers deemed ‘Essential Businesses’. As of 25-3-20 we will resume production on a daily basis, with a limited voluntary staff, to insure our ability to accept receipt of, produce, and ship product. Assuring our customers we will operate as an Essential Business to continue to support their needs. Staffing will be restricted, with offset schedules, while working in segregated areas as extra precautions. All staff have been instructed to regularly monitor their temperature and not to come into work if they, or anyone they’ve been in contact with, has a fever or is feeling ill. The majority of all office functions will continue to be done remotely where possible, to further limit exposure to our staff.
Tuesday 24 March 2020, 00:01 AM EST | The Governor of Ohio, and Director of the Ohio Department of Health has enforced a statewide ‘Stay at Home’ order for all non-essential businesses and activities, effective Monday night (23-3-20) through April 6th. Pursuant to that order, all RAVAS USA/LTS Scale office personnel will be working from home, so all e-mails and correspondence will be followed up on. All office phones are redirected to the individuals cellphone. The main phone line directory for Ravas/LTS Scale (330-425-3092), is active and forwarding all specific calls to the cellphones of the individual responsible. In order to support our customers and still comply with state orders, we will support customers on a mission critical basis. If their needs are critical to supporting the overall good of the public, we’re asking that they advise us of such and we will do what we can to ship their items.
Now that the Dutch government has closed schools, childcare, restaurants and sports facilities until April 6, RAVAS has also adjusted the measures for personnel and processes at home and abroad. Thanks to the efforts of all RAVAS employees and the technological resources available to us, this operation is proceeding without any significant problems. The prognosis is therefore that we can deliver current and new orders in the coming months as expected. In an exceptional case, delivery times could be exceeded, because we let our production employees work in shifts to avoid as much physical contact as possible. We appreciate your understanding for this measure.
At the same time, we have urged all RAVAS employees at home and abroad to cancel all face-to-face appointments with customers, suppliers and other external parties. Our service technicians will also support our customers remotely as much as possible by telephone and email. If they receive a request for repair in 'vital organizations', such as distribution centers or logistics warehouses, our people will consult with the customer to find the most suitable solution. Urgent orders placed for this purpose will also be delivered as soon as possible.
The upcoming weeks will show how the corona pandemic will develop, both in the Netherlands and worldwide. The management of RAVAS emphasizes that the safety and health of our own people come first, and that we will do everything we can to continue to serve our customers as well as possible. Of course, within the limits of the achievable. In the unlikely event that we cannot meet the standard that you are used to from us, we ask for your understanding. The past few weeks have shown how flexible, decisive and strong team RAVAS is, at home and abroad. We are very proud of that. And that is why we trust that only together we can control this corona pandemic.
