For the UN peace keeping operations in Afghanistan, the Dutch Royal Air Force has ordered 6 WHPT pallet truck scales and 12 RCS hydraulic load indication systems. The pallet trucks are used to determine the weight of goods transported by airplane. By weighing the goods, overloading of transport planes and helicopters is avoided. The weight information also enables a proper weight distribution over the airframe.
The RCS systems have been installed on 25 Ton container trucks for the handling of 30 foot sea containers. The trucks have also been treated with a special coating to reduce detection by radar….
