For an RFID project, RAVAS will equip a Crown WAVE with a weighing system. The WAVE is a light, vertical order picking vehicle with a double goods platform. Both platforms will be equipped with a scale that will have a wireless connection to a RF terminal, via blue tooth.

The WAVE will also be fitted out with an RFID system, developed by the University of Dortmund. Thus picked articles are weighed and identified at the same time, as a double check on picking errors. The truck will be presented on a logistic seminar at the University of Dortmund at the end of May and will also be shown on the Log-Intern exhibition in Nuremberg.
