Tibbett & Britten orders 19 mobile scales for Metro DC in Rumania |

Metro Cash & Carry is world market leader in food and non-food wholesale business. In Rumania Metro has recently built a new central distribution warehouse for chilled and frozen food products. Logistic processes in this DC are carried out by 3PL provider Tibbett & Britten.
To check the order putting process in this warehouse, Tibbett & Britten have ordered 19 mobile scales, to be fitted onto Jungheinrich EJE 118 electrical pallet trucks. The weight of every put is recorded, together with barcodes on the pallet truck (to identify the operator), the pallet (to identify the article) and the container (to identify the order). The data are transmitted to a PC network over Wireless LAN.
